Photographer
Lars Nordin
It has sometimes been said that Lars Nordin (1922–1979) was Sweden's first fashion photographer. A rather modest gentleman who educated himself in New York at the School of Modern Photography and came to Kamerabild in 1949 to primarily photograph for VeckoJournalen. Kerstin Lokrantz was a perfect match for him: she was self-playing, like a skilled actress. She could be "everything," equally naturally girl-like and playful as glamorously elegant. Several good examples can be found in DN, where Lokrantz had a column titled "Mrs. Tips" for quite a while (during the 1950s); there she showcased her own tricks on how to "level up" contemporary fashion.
