Kerstin Lokrantz was given free rein at Wahls and created the first Swedish teenage fashion. In the early years, she sometimes modeled and was a fashion model in her own designs for Wahls, like today’s influencers. She won the hearts of teenage girls with pastel-colored jumpsuits, folk-style skirts with lots of embroidery underneath, and ballet flats instead of pumps. Finally, teenage girls didn’t have to look like their mothers.
