Dress In Cotton

The poster depicts Kerstin Lokrantz as a model for the clothing company Wahls. The dress is her own design for Wahls. Kerstin was employed as a designer there from 1951 to 1958 and became a pioneer in designing the first Swedish clothes specifically for teenagers. The collections were sold worldwide to Harrods in London, Magasin De Nord in Copenhagen, and major department stores in New York. In Sweden, Wahls clothing could be found at Hennes (now HM), Nordiska Kompaniet, and the department store Mea, among others.
